Valentine Robotics is an authorized Krypton distributor for Robotics Metrology Equipment. Krypton is recognized globally as a leader in the field of robot metrology with over 13 years of experience, multiple patents, trademarks, proven technology and user-friendly, Windows-based software. With one hardware platform, a multitude of measuring options is available.
Unlike other typical measuring and CMM equipment, Krypton is designed for quick set-up and use on the plant floor.

| Krypton offers measuring solutions in three main areas:
|
|
1. Mobile Robotics Metrology
Krypton's patented measuring system is used throughout the world for everything from robotic performance testing to calibration of robot arms for the space station. Most robotic manufacturers use the system to R&D their products, improve motion capability, accuracy, verify repeatability, and to ISO-certify their robots. The system is also the perfect measuring device to connect the virtual world of simulation to real world applications through robot, tool and environment calibration. Due to its mobility, user-friendly software, calibration capabilities, and the ability to calibrate and test equipment on the production line, the time savings and advantages Krypton offers make it far superior to other systems.
A partial list of current users of Krypton Robotic Metrology includes:
Boeing, the United States Air Force, the European Space Agency, Kuka, Fanuc Japan, Staubli, Cloos, Yaskawa Japan (Motoman), BMW, Mercedes, Toyota, Comau Pico
2. Mobile Coordinate Measuring Machines (MCMM)
The Krypton CMM measuring solution is capable of working with most commonly-used, commercially-available CMM software. Some of the many advantages of the Krypton system as a mobile CMM are as follows:
- Fast setup time
- Capable of measuring the fixtures and/or parts right on the production line.
- Once an initial alignment is completed using dynamic reference markers, the part or the camera can then be moved, and the object being measured will still maintain its alignment.
- The ergonomically-designed space probe is capable of using multiple tips and adapters. This allows for measuring of areas where true line-of-sight would not be accessible.
- Wireless space probes allow even more flexibility for measuring applications in hard-to-reach areas.
3. Mobile Dynamic Motion Measuring (MDMM)
DMM real time allows for monitoring multiple objects or Cartesian coordinate reference frames simultaneously to perform stress analysis tests, vibration analysis and a host of other tests that no other system on the market is capable of. Examples of applications currently using the equipment are: Tow tank testing, Earthquake testing and analysis, and Structural deviation analysis. Since the system is capable of measuing in 6 D.O.F., not only are deviations measured in X, Y, and Z , but twisting of objects (roll, pitch, yaw) is alwos measured for in-depth analysis.
Important advantages of the Krypton Metrology solutions are:
- Ease of use
- Mobility of system
- Robust industrial design
- The system is pre-calibrated with traceability back to ISO standard, no shop floor calibration is necessary
- The resolution is 0.005mm at 2.5m distance from the camera
- Variable measurement frequency up to 3000Hz
- Multiple LED measurements
- Geometric / CMM measuring capability can be easily added
- Jump function enables enlargement of the actual measurement volume
- Krypton's ability to measure and monitor multiple moving coordinate frames on actual plant floor applications allows for data to be analyzed in 6D
- Krypton's dynamic reference system allows for the camera or a part to be moved during the measuring process once an alignment is complete
